The Leather Folio is meticulously handcrafted at our bindery using premium vegetable-tanned leather. We exclusively source our leathers from a family-owned tannery in Tuscany, Italy, recognized by the Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium (Pelle al Vegetale).

Each leather is tanned through a time-honored, eco-friendly process that relies on natural materials such as tree bark, berries, leaves, and roots—entirely free from harsh chemicals. This traditional method not only preserves the integrity of the leather but also allows it to develop a rich, distinctive patina over time, ensuring your journal ages gracefully with use.

We’ve carefully selected acid-free paper that strikes the ideal balance: lightweight for everyday portability, yet strong enough to handle a range of mediums—from pencil and fountain pen to even watercolor. Whether you write in pencil, pour ink from a pen, or wash color across a page—this paper stays with you, steady and sure.
