Bookbinding Workshop [Hardcover Case Binding] at Cedo Wellness

Spend an afternoon learning a centuries-old craft.

Join Zita of Sting & Snout Bindery for a hands-on session exploring the art of traditional bookbinding. 

In this session, you'll create your own A6 Hardcover Case-Bound Journal, a traditional adhesive binding that combines sewn pages, a glued spine, and a durable hardcover case. From folding and sewing to gluing and casing in, you'll experience the process from beginning to end. 

You'll also take home a bookbinding kit with the tools used during the workshop, so you can continue binding long after the class.

• Bind and take home an A6 hardcover journal 
• Bring home a bookbinding kit 
• Learn the basics of traditional bookbinding + a quick intro to the artisan process

Journal Details:

• 160 pages of 100gsm Fountain-pen friendly Ivory paper
• Cross grid pages and an Introductory page including "This belongs to", Start & End Dates
• Your choice of premium UK-made bookcloth 
  
• Archival-safe and Acid-free materials

Workshop Policy. Workshop slots are limited and materials and venue arrangements are secured in advance. For this reason, all workshop fees are non-refundable.
